They should cut down on the number of honours given to athletes all across the board, you ask me. The honours system should recognize people who've brought something special to whatever's the activity concerned, not just those who've achieved a certain benchmark of proficiency at it -- who've demonstrated that they're good at their job, as it were.
I agree with you there. But if they must award for achieving a certain benchmark (buzzword right now in education LOL! as is 'data driven' then there should be parity between these two groups of athletes. To my mind, athletes in the paralympics are achieving way more than those in the regular olympics. Just MHO.
